How to effectively support the digital transformation of SMEs: the case study of the LBC Foundation and the Go Digital project
Most conversations about digital transformation revolve around corporations and multi-million innovations. The LBC Foundation took a completely different direction: helping micro, small and medium-sized companies. Its Go Digital project is a practical example of how to combine education, advisory and digital skills in a way that really works.

From diagnosis to implementation: a process based on real needs
In the latest episode of SUURowo o marketingu, Renata Żukowska talks about how the support programme was built. One of its most important elements was a focus not on "digital fads", but on the real challenges business owners face.
"We didn't start with tools, but with conversations with business owners. What are they afraid of? What don't they understand? Where can they gain an advantage?" says Renata.
Instead of imposing ready-made solutions, the programme included a diagnosis that made it possible to choose activities tailored to specific businesses. It was a great marketing tool that not only provided a wealth of data, but also allowed the message to be personalised throughout the campaign.
Education that doesn't scare people with technology
The Go Digital project shows that technology education doesn't have to mean complicated webinars or slides full of jargon. LBC chose language every business owner can understand and meetings run by people who know how to listen and speak plainly.
This approach engaged local companies that had previously been wary of digital topics. Renata stresses that the key was empathy and trust: only once trust is built can you talk about process automation or digitising documents.
The power of local collaboration
One of the project's strong pillars was combining the competences of different institutions. LBC did not act in a vacuum: it invited digital marketing specialists, cybersecurity experts and local advisers, among others. As a result, programme participants could use a complete support package.
"We didn't create everything from scratch. We built an ecosystem in which everyone contributed their part," adds Renata.
Summary
The LBC Foundation's Go Digital project is an example of how to support digital transformation in a balanced, empathetic and effective way. It is not just an educational programme, but a well-thought-out local initiative that can inspire companies, foundations and organisations supporting SMEs.
Renata Żukowska shows that change doesn't start with technology, but with a deep understanding of clients. As a result, the Go Digital campaign exceeded its KPIs threefold and is now genuinely contributing to implementations among SMEs.
